Ma. Maison

Ma.Maison

A Fusion of Japanese and Western food. This is my first time trying this while we explore Central for a place to chill and dine.

The place is small but cosy. Ambiance is nice and the service is more than excellence!

Many Japanese patronise this place. I see a 50% local and 50% Japanese in this place during my hour stay

.

I order a Burger Steak. The portion is just nice for me and it taste something like Ramy Burger to me but with better texture.

Halfway during the meal, this nice Japanese lady(i think is the boss) came to us and gave us this solid key.

The key is my BILL. Yes they gave me a key as a token for my Order. By the end of the day I just need to go to the counter which they design it like a check in counter. I just put the key on a bronze bowl and wait for my actual Bill.

Total Cost $20 per person(main dish plus an appetizer)

Very interesting and novel won't you say?

Life I see it now

My current life at this age revolves in mainly 2 things....

Getting Wedding Invitation. Yes as each year passes I am getting more of such invitation.

Getting news of someone's parents/grandparent passing away or your teacher.

Then When I look at my DAD's life....
He told me that he is attending more funeral. Funeral of his friends and he wonder how many are left out there living now. Everytime he comes back from one of these he will tell me he is getting more lonely.

It must be such a pain to see one by one your close friends leaving you first.

Yummy Yum Yum

Yes it Yummy and Yes it good!

Kimchi, BBQ pork, Chicken, beef and many more.

Today we have a feast at an authentic Korea Restaurant.

The staff are friendly and the service are good. They arranged for us to sit in a room rather than outside with the general public. Really feel like a special guest!

Ok back to the food. We order a buffet set which is at an affordable price I will said.
It is very different from the usual BBQ steamboat we have. usually we have hot pate then in the center is a pot of soup. This time round the center is the hotpate and surrounding is the soup. The soup based is kimchi too!

And beside the BBQ buffet they gave us a lot of side dish. We have Tofu, Kimichi Cabbage, Kimchi Radish, Ikan Billis, Hot dog and one more vegetable. Oh yes we order their Korea Pancake too!

Spent 2 hours eating and chit chating. It was a great time. And to end it off with a birthday cake for dessert!

Oh Yummy Yummy!

Handbag for you SIR?

Has Singaporean men been doting/caring and kind to their female counterpart?

I think pretty much so. Yes, at times we won't be pulling chair out for the lady and standing up when the lady leaves the table. But that does not means we are not nice or caring.

I think Singaporean guy has done fair share of opening doors for the lady and help them carry heavy stuff. That is gentleman enough.

But to carry a Lady's HANDBAG!

The latest talk and sight about MAN carrying their GF's Handbag is creating an interesting topic.

I hear some comments that it is okay for a guy to do it if he love his GF/Wife. Or this is now an equal status world and it a gentleman action to do so.

But the strange thing is that this is occurring only in Singapore!

You don't see our neighbour countries having this phenomenon. You don't even see this in the western country where they pride themselves to be a gentleman.

Let's define what is a lady handbag...

It is an accessory to complement their clothes rather than what it can do. A bag's original intent is to carry and hold things. Therefore they have that many handbag. Same logic for having that many shoes but hey that another topic to blog next time.

So since that is the function of a lady handbag, then man should not carry them.

1. they may not complement with what they are wearing
2. man don't wear/carry accessory
3. it call a LADY handbag and not a MANBAG!
4. it just look stupid for a man to carry a lady handbag

In short, a man can carry a lady handbag when the lady needs to go to the toilet or to be away for a short time. But not carrying it for hours while they walk down orchard road.

Anyway this is my view. You all have your own view and if you want to share it go ahead and write down your comments on the chatbox.

So Handbag for you SIR?
